NASS News: ATEC to Spotlight Clinically Integrated Informatics

Alphatec Holdings (ATEC) revealed that the company will be featuring its informatics-integrated spine procedures at next week’s North American Spine Society (NASS) 29th Annual Meeting at McCormick Place in Chicago, Ill.
 
Luiz Pimenta, MD, Ph.D., and Juan Uribe, MD, will demonstrate ATEC’s Prone TransPsoas (PTP) Approach in NASS’ Surgical Stadium on September 26. The PTP approach is a minimally invasive spinal procedure where the spine is accessed through a small incision in the side of the body while the patient is in the prone position. The approach allows for correction of the natural curvatures of the spine to improve overall spinal alignment, according to the company.
 
The company said it’s also partnering with renowned spine surgeons to demonstrate how ATEC innovation can improve clinical predictability and reproducibility.

In July, the company announced it launched EOS Insight, an end-to-end spine surgery platform powered by EOS scans and artificial intelligence (AI). The cloud-based software platform can be used to deliver crucial information throughout spine care. It allows access to a variety of point-of-care applications.
